Taurus is entering a new chapter of leadership as experienced team members take on expanded roles supporting the NFIP Direct program. Together, Hanah, Drew, and Phil will work closely with Scott Lapine to support NFIP Direct across underwriting, agency services, sales, operations, quality, compliance, people leadership, and client service.
As part of the transition, Saul Hernandez's team will begin reporting directly to Tom Garner, while Tom will work closely with Hanah and Drew to support continuity and continued leadership development.
Hanah Plumb
Underwriting Manager
Hanah has been promoted to Underwriting Manager for the NFIP Direct contract. Hanah has been with Taurus for 26 years and has served in several key positions, building extensive knowledge and experience across the organization. She will report to Tom Garner.
Drew Chewning
National Sales Manager & Agency Services
Drew continues as National Sales Manager while expanding his leadership responsibilities to include Agency Services. Drew has been with Taurus for seven years and brings more than 20 years of flood insurance industry experience across underwriting, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, sales, and insurance operations.
Phil Dunn
Quality & Compliance
Phil rounds out the leadership team working alongside Scott Lapine to manage and direct the NFIP Direct contract. With 21 years at Taurus, Phil brings deep institutional knowledge and flood insurance expertise to his expanded focus on quality and compliance.

After 18 years of dedicated service to Taurus, Cynthia DiVincenti retired on August 31. Cynthia brought nearly 40 years of flood insurance experience to a career spanning underwriting, claims, client relations, marketing, contract negotiations, and work with FEMA.
Her knowledge, relationships, leadership, and willingness to share what she learned have left a lasting impact. Taurus thanks Cynthia for her many contributions and wishes her all the best in retirement.
